You can find baseball bats in many weights and lengths. They can also be wooden bats or aluminum or some other byproduct similar to aluminum. However, if you are a fast pitch softball oficianado, the Easton SCN6B is likely your choice of weapon at the plate, or at least the choice of a number of teammates.
 

Easton has been known to produce bats with a better than average "sweet spot", or barrel. This gives the batter an advantage when hitting in being able to hit the ball harder and drive the ball farther. Their Carbon Nanotube Technology, or CNT, and their patented extended flex design provides for maximum performance along the entire length of the barrel.

The SCN6B also features flexibility in the handle which is two times greater than a regular aluminum bat. This gives the hitter a bat which delivers a quick swing with more power through the "hitting zone".

The SCN6B is approved for use in all official softball leagues, but the fast pitch leagues are where this bat is the star. This model can be purchased with lengths of 30 to 34 inches and weights from 20 to 24 ounces.
 
 
 
It has the ultra thin handle with the Pro Tack cushioned grip most Easton fans have become accustomed to, and depending on what size bat also features a sweet spot of 11.5 to 13.5 inches.
 

This bat, however, is constructed in two pieces, which obviously leads to more of a probability of breaking. It is also recommended that you "break the bat in", in other words use it for practice and get in around 200 hits, before it will actually reach it's optimum performance.

While these are certainly a couple of minor negatives, the positive qualities of this bat and the fact that it has been used and recommended by many fast pitch softball leaders has made the Easton SCN6B one of the most sought after and reliable weapons in the game.
